This is my custom M933 airsoft carbine. Based on models carried by DELTA and Navy SEAL Operators in Iraq and Afghanistan. The base gun is a TM M733 carbine. and it features a CRANE Stock, 10.5 inch barrel, Aimpoint scope and an 8.4V 1700 mah NiMH battery stored in an ICS AN/PEQ Battery box.

Out of curiousity, how heavy is it with all that extra stuff bolted on?
:iconsablelieger:
Not much; just a pound or two heavier. But since I lug around M60s and SAW during my long (12 years) service in the Army, this is nothing really.

I did too. I just usually don't care to bolt on all that extra stuff because it tends to snag on things, as well as throw off the balance. Just my personal preferences, not saying it's what everyone should do.

One thing i learned while working at a gun store; Guns are like shoes, just because one gun fits you, doesn't mean it will fit somebody else.

Yep. Some people think when I comment on my preferences, that I'm insulting people that disagree. I'm not. Except for people who own Glock tupperware pistols, of course! :w00t:
:iconsablelieger:
I love my Glock 21 (.45 ACP) So what if it's called Combat Tupperware? Funny thing is that DELTA Force and SEAL Operators carry Glocks all the time in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Once a person has gotten drunk with enough Special Operations folks, they lose their mystic aura. And the day I recognize any section of the Navy as being the ultimate in firearms knowledge... :nana:

Seriously, no two people are the same. Hence, the "best weapon" is a personal matter. The best handgun I ever fired was a Bundeswehr P8, I was shooting zip ties off the targets with it the first time I picked it up. I was much more amused than the German range NCOIC.

I personally own a M1911A1 and an XD .40, XD being my concealed carry weapon. Not as strong as a .45, but I can carry a lot more rounds with a minimal trade off in strength. Plus I'm more accurate with the XD.
:iconsablelieger:
That's good, I like my Glock 21 because I have tried all other 45 ACP weapons and for one reason or another, I came back to Glock. I have fired almost all copies of the M1911 design, the H&K USP45 and the Mk-23, the Sig P220, the S& W 945 and EAA/Tangfaglio .45 and the one that best suits me is the Glock, plus the Glocks have less movinge parts (hence less parts that could break or fail) and no safeties to fumble with, just pull and shoot.

I know thereare a lot of people that prefer external safeties, but in a high stress situation, the last thing I need to worry about is flipping a safety to get the pistol ready to shoot. With my Glock, I just pull the pistol, aim at the target and fire. Nuff said.

Is kind of funny; did you know that the Springfield XD used features from at least 3 different guns? Is true; check your XD for example, here's a list:

1) Polymer construction from the Glock (and the H&K, who had the first ploymer gun in the market)

2) firing pin indicator on the back of the slide from the Walther P99.

3) Trigger safety from the Glock.

4) grip safety on the M1911.

5) Takedown lever from the Sig Sauer.

5) Ambi mag release like the H&K and Walther.

6) "captured" recoil spring, like the Glock.

Plus some other features unique to the XD: Springfield should be commended for taking all the best features of almost all other weapons and make a pistol that has won quite a few awards and is being used by a lot of people. I am not busting balls on the XD, I think the XD is a pretty cool pistol, but I like my Glock and I will stick with my Glock for a while.
